Willow Bark Tincture

Willow’s inner bark is best known for it's analgesic properties, to help with pain and inflammation. The salicin found in its inner bark and leaves is responsible for its starring role in herbal pain relief. Using the inner bark in tincture-form can help relieve headaches, reportedly without causing gastrointestinal upset like some pharmaceutical pain killers.

Willow can help relieve pain and inflammation from back pain, menstrual cramps, and achy muscles. The tincture can also be added to a bath or to a topical compress.

Willow can also help support energetic and physical resilience, mental receptivity, and flexibility. Dr. Edward Bach, the creator of the Bach flower remedies, wrote that willow essence is good for “those who have suffered adversity and find this difficult to accept without complaint or resentment. They feel that they have not deserved so great a trial, and they become bitter.”

Our Willow Bark tincture is made with ethically wild-harvested Alaskan willow bark, which is extracted for 8 weeks in alcohol.
